Purse handle fix
I have a purse I love .. but the handle started pealing ..ugh!!!
So I decided to see if I would cover it up and still use this purse!!
So .. I got a set of 48inch shoelaces for a dollar!!!
But only needed one!!!
I started by just a simple over and under tie.
Then bring your tail over the top of your handle leaving a loop.
Then under the handle and through the loop on the top.
Y'all please don't mind the white cat hair ... she was asleep when I started this!!!
****This is a pict of what you get if you bring the tail around from the back and through the loop .. which is fine ..if you do ALL your stitches that way...
Stitch over to where you want to stop.
Then take your tip of the start end and cut it off close to the plastic.
I used a needle and thread and stitched mine ..
but you could glue it if you wanted.
Do the same on the other end ... and ..
Done!!!
I like it... I have also found it help keep it on your shoulder too!!!
Be sure to ask if you have any questions .. Thanks y'all!!

This is the first one I made.
First there are so many way to vary and use this idea!!
This is the first one I made.
But I'm going to show you how to make a bigger cuter one!!
You will need to select a piece of wood.
I choose the long one .. it's a scrap so .. I clean and sand it.
Decide how many holders hearts you want ..
I decided on 9!!
My block in 7 1/2 inches long I came in 1 1/2 inch on both ends and marked every 1/2 inch
(none of this is set in stone it's just what
looks good)
In a straight line to the front and to the back of the lines
you already have so mark your drill spots
Now is the time to decide on your wire .. my original holder
was done with copper because it was what I had on hand.. for this one I'm using 18ga ..because it's cheep and easy to
work with ..
Use a drill bit as close to the size of your wire I used 1/16 for
this project! Try to drill all the whole to the same depth.
I cute my wires 15 inches long
Take the wire around 8 inches and twiste
Shape into the heart
Bind around into another heart
Now to make 9 of them.
Now cut the ends for the height
I too about 2 inches off the back row and about 3 off the front
This is another part that is completely up to you and what you are wanting it to look like
add just a dab of glue to each wire end
And Wa La .. this can be
painted .. this one will be..
can be stained too!!
